House Kitchen and Bar

I have been visiting House Kitchen and Bar for many years and the standards at this restaurant never fail to deliver. The setting is fantastic and very comfortable, if you want a more relaxed evening without being in the hectic and noisy Old Town area of Kalkan this is the only place to go. I have sampled a lot of the menu and it's hard to pick a favourite dish but the curry and steak dishes are excellent and the smoked salmon and avocado cheese rolls for starter are divine. Ali the restaurant owner and his wife Gizem are wonderful hosts- if you are in Kalkan this restaurant should definitely be on your shortlist for a visit. It’s such a blessing to have a place like this nearby — perfect for those who live or stay in Kalamar, and absolutely worth the trip from other parts of Kalkan. The restaurant is simply stunning — beautifully designed, spacious, and elegant, with a calm, relaxing atmosphere far from the crowded tourist spots in the town center. The service is exceptional — attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. The owner, Ali Bey, personally greets guests and ensures everything runs smoothly. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. The food is outstanding. The curries are a real highlight — rich, perfectly spiced to your taste, and definitely a must-try. The creamy chicken pasta with mushrooms is also delicious, and the starters are simply wonderful — you can try any of them with confidence, especially those with seafood. Don’t miss their homemade crème brûlée — it’s their own creation and tastes truly like home. Whether you come for breakfast, lunch, or a romantic dinner, this place delivers every time. Tip: Make sure to book a table in advance if you’re planning to come for dinner — it’s a popular spot for a reason!

I had an amazing experince at House Kitchen, thank you. Great food, super friendly and knowledgable owner and beautiful, soft ambience with views. Stylish and comfy seating prepares you for tasty starters and main meal always prepared with love and attention. Desserts are super tasty as well. Give a try and you won't be dissapointed.

House cafe has very chilled atmosphere and beautiful views (get there before sunset). We love the food with a great range of western and Turkish dishes from tournedos to octopus or prawn curry. The service is impeccable. When you feel like escaping the crowds and the noise from Kalkan, this is a great place to go - just 5 minutes from Ortolaan, a proper hidden gem.

We dined here twice in the week that we were staying nearby as it was so good. Everything that we tried was tasty and cooked to perfection. Beware of the chilli meatball pizza as it's not for the faint hearted. The deserts were delicious, especially the tiramisu. The white and rose wine were good quality and well chilled. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were very reasonable and we would love to go back.

The seafood is incredibly tasty, and the appetizers are an excellent start to your meal. The people here are so kind, friendly, and professional. Definitely a perfect place to come and have a really good time and a really good meal. The sea view during the day is really good but the atmosphere at the evening is his own vibe. Ask for the dessert, they have they own creation that it tastes like home.

Perfection! Stunning restaurant with a beautiful ambience. Not like the tourist traps in the centre of Kalkan. Lots of space around the tables so don’t feel like you are sat with the people next to you. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. Lovely, fresh, quality ingredients. The curry was 10/10 and spiced to your liking, highly recommend. A must try for a romantic meal!
